Day 40. Macarthur Rec Ground, Victoria

Friday 25.3.22

A friend who was unable to join us on this journey wrote this amazing poem. Thank you Graham. We wish you and Gail were here.

Early morning on the Glenelg River.

The Grampians looked spectacular.  Think we'll have to come back here and explore on another journey.
Driving through the state forest.
Hamilton Lake for lunch, then we visited the Sir Reginald Ansett Museum.

1940-1945 hosting uniform.

Flight simulator.

Australia's first mobile phone.

Tonight we're staying at the Macarthur rec ground. $10 a night for a powered site and we're the only ones here.
Today we travelled 122kms, taking our total hitched just over 3,000kms.

Yvonne and I went for a walk around the oval, a whole 600m.
