Day 45. Rosebud, Mornington Peninsula.

Wednesday 30.3.22

Lined up at 7.10am ready for our ferry trip at a cost of $127. Much easier than driving through Geelong and Melbourne.

Another London Bridge, this time in Portsea.

First convict settlement in Victoria.

2 ships arrived in October 1803. One with convicts and a smaller one with free settlers. Due to lack of fresh water and fertile land it was decided to relocate.

Dorothy Houghton walk 1.1km.

Brunch walk, 2.7km, because we left so early we hadn't eaten.
Vandals at work.
Rye jetty, closed for repairs.

HMAS Otama. Decommissioned RAN submarine.

Went for another walk, 4.4km, browsing the shopping centre and eating the yummiest pizza we've had in a while.

Today we travelled 48kms, taking the total hitched to 3517kms.

We also explored 9+ kms by foot and 70kms by car.
