Day 65. Yarra Junction

Tuesday 19.4.22
It rained all through the night and still raining at 9am. Not sure how much bike riding we'll get done as neither of us enjoy soggy tracks. At 10am the rain eased to a drizzle so we jumped in the car and headed up the mountain. Got distracted in Warburton with a 1.8km walk along the Yarra River and coffee in one of the numerous cafes.

Swing bridge across the Yarra.

Brisbane Bridge.

Flow through life with gratitude, ease and grace, allowing beauty to nurture, inspire and embrace your soul.

I'm loving the autumn colours 😍

A few of the murals painted by Peter Van Breugel on the remnants of the original bare concrete retaining wall of the Warburton railway station platform.

Back in the car to head a few more kms east.
Californian Redwood Forest in the Yarra Ranges National Park.

Couldn't resist sitting in the nest someone had made.

Walked through the forest down to the Yarra River.

Who else would risk falling in to get a great photo of the 'rapids' for me. 😍

Back through the Redwood Forest.
Found another nest.
As we drove down the mountain the rain started again and got heavier.

Today we drove 38kms, waked 3.5kms and still no riding. Fingers crossed for some sunshine tomorrow. Overnight temperatures are going to be under 10° all week.
