Day 66. Yarra Junction.

Wednesday 20.4.22

Rain stopped during the night. Woke to a couple of little blue patches in the sky so I went for a short walk, 1.5kms. Looks like more rain coming.

Drizzling rain again so Mark decided we should grab the brolley and walk in to Yarra Junction township, using part of the rail trail to stay off the hwy.

Hid out of the rain in a coffee shop. Unfortunately the coffee tasted great but was only warm. Shame I forgot to pack our wet weather gear 😏

Rest stop and playground along the trail.

Avenue of Honour

Rail museum only opens on a Sunday.

We walked 5kms by the time we got back to the van and it started raining again. Managed to get a 10km bike ride in between showers this afternoon. Spectacular views along the trail.

Fell in love with this property. Apparently the barn is used as a wedding venue 🤔 hmmm Markie 💕

Decided to check out the parks ammenities. 2 showers were like the pic above. 3rd cubicle later I had a lovely hot shower.

We had a great meal at the York on Lilydale Hotel complex with Andrea and Mark and a couple of their friends, who we bumped into there.

Today we drove 50kms, rode 10kms and walked 6.5kms. Nothing like a bit of variety to keep us busy.
