Day 3. Kingscliff, NSW

Wednesday 16.2.2022

Due to intermittent rain we decided to take the cruiser to explore the region. We parked up and did a few walks. I've not stopped in this area before so was keen to see as much as possible.

Waked along the Tweed River, 1.5km

Walked along the foreshore in Kingscliff, 2.8km

Cudgen Creek. People were swimming in here. I'd be a bit nervous about sharks 🦈 as it's an inlet from the sea.

Climbed up Norries Headlands,  1km. Fantastic views. Apparently it's a great spot to watch humpback whales 🐋

Looking north towards Coolangatta.
Looking south towards Pottsville.

We continued on to Pottsville before heading back to the van for lunch. In total we drove 42kms and walked over 5kms.
After a quiet afternoon we jumped on the bikes and followed the river. An 11km ride on tracks which crossed a main road a couple of times. In NSW you can't ride on the footpath unless it's a designated shared path.
Coolangatta in the background.

  1. We are suffering a severe case of travel envy. Post longer videos.
