Day 17. Woody Head, NSW

Tuesday 2.3.22

Bit of light rain overnight again. We did a 1.8km walk this morning. 

The national park road still has a bit of water over it.

Both the Iluka Rd out to the hwy and the Hwy are still closed so we will be here for another night at least. We are dry, have plenty of food and power so we are good. So much devastation not far up from here. It appears the Telstra tower is out and Gunther has kindly allowed me to hotspot his Optus connection. 

One of the park managers has suggested we may not get out before Saturday so we ducked in to Iluka to get a couple of things. The shelves are starting to empty and Gunther was unable to top up his fuel tank.

The golf course has a few new water features. 

Cooked up some yummy 'spaghetti'. Mark managed to get a small fire going.  The wood is really wet. With so much cloud cover we've decided to watch a movie tonight.
