Day 23. Tamworth, NSW

Tuesday 8.3.22

The sun is shining and there's a gentle breeze so we'll be doing our washing before exploring. Gunther has generously allowed us to do the sheets in his machine.

Tamworth botanical gardens was small but pretty.

A volunteer very generously stopped mowing the lawns to talk to us about the miniature railway. It's next to the botanical gardens and has beautiful views over Tamworth.

We were invited to see the workshops.  The boys were very impressed.

Wallaroo
Guinea pig

Lots of birds but they move too quickly to get a photo.

The weather was changing, so quick drive to the Oxley lookout before we rushed home to bring in the washing and make toasted sandwiches for lunch.
Back out to explore again. Drizzling rain all afternoon.
Hall of hands.

Tommy Emmanuel has big hands.

Smoky Dawson.
Slim Dusty and Joy McKean.
Coffee at Gloria Jean's to finish our exploring.
There is a harness racing track next to us. They had a couple of trial races.

Not the greatest photos but they were moving reasonably fast.
