We made it out of Woody Head. Escort by council was a waste of time and effort. There was no water over the main road.

Stopped in Grafton for morning smoko before heading west across the Gwydir Hwy.
Stopped for afternoon smoko in Glen Innes. We're going to stay at a free camp just west of Glen Innes.
I love Glen Innes. It is 1 of the 2 places I wouldn't mind living. Markie says no and it's a bit far from family.
This park is amazing when the leaves drop. There's a carpet of spectacular colours.

Swan Brook rest area is halfway between Glen Innes and Inverell, on the Gwydir Hwy. Beautiful spot with a toilet, bins and a running creek.
The sunset was very pretty.Today we travelled ~281km
